About Me

I am Scott Chandler, owner and chief photographer at Scott Chandler Productions(SCP). SCP provides a variety of photography and videography services including aerial(FAA licensed), food, portraits and real estate visuals. SCP immediately serves the western Nevada, Lake Tahoe, northern Sierra Nevada region, and is available for travel nationwide.

I was born in Reno, but lived in the Portola/Graeagle area of California. I grew up there roaming the hills on ATVs, hiking, and skiing. I lived in Petaluma, CA, for a short time also. When I’m not working, you’ll find my wife and I enjoying time with our two boys, traveling, road trips, entertaining friends and family.

I got my first camera when I was 12. Photography always intrigued me. It was a hobby growing up. For anyone who doesn’t know, Portola has a deep railroad history. My first published photo was of a restored steam train in action. Little did I know when I shot it, when I was 17 from my quad on a dirt road, that it would lead me to where I am now. So of all things, trains are what got me started.

In 2004, I stepped my game up. I got a business license, and started expanding. First came family work, then school pictures. Before long, I was doing weddings. One thing led to another, and I was making a name for myself. In 2018, I went full time with this venture and have been enjoying the photography adventure ever since.
